Un vecchio libro di Natale

Questa è la prima edizione di un ABC dell'epoca vittoriana, che racconta come gli inglesi festeggiavano il Natale 120 anni fa. Il libro è stato trovato nella sezione "vecchi libri" della biblioteca di Cambridge. L'ABC di Babbo Natale è datato, infatti, 1894 e fu pubblicato da Frederick Warne & Co.', la casa che pubblicò anche i libri di Beatrix Potter. L'illustratore è Alfred J.Johnson.
L'autore del blog spiega lettera per lettera che cosa rappresentano le varie immagini. Ricordiamo che le parole inglesi non iniziano come le nostre....
L'autore ha anche dimenticato di scannerizzare la pagina  Y Z, anche se spiega come sono rappresentate le due lettere...ma io, cerca e cerca...l'ho trovata!! E' più piccola delle altre, ma almeno sappiamo che cosa rappresentava.
